Lyngby and Esbjerg win as Superligaen returns

FC Nordsjalland – Lyngby BK 0:1

Superligaen returned from the winter break last night and it was David Boysen to score the first league goal in 2017 as Lyngby BK took all three points away from FC Nordsjalland. The home side had a few good chances as well, but only hit the post in the first half. So Boysen’s easy tap-in the 21. minute became the golden goal of the match, beautifully assisted by Jeppe Kjaer, who stole the ball from Nordsjalland skipper Patrick Mtiliga. Lyngby are in third place now, at least until Midtjylland play Viborg on sunday evening.

Esbjerg FB – SonderjyskE 3:0

SonserjyskE may as well have hoped to be in that spot after their match with Esbjerg FB, but these hopes where shattered in a frustrating manner in the second game of the night. Esbjerg seemed very determined to have an impressing start to the relegation battle of the upcoming weeks. Nevertheless they missed to score in the first half so it needed a moment of genius by their striker Robin Söder to break the ice after 54 minutes. His seventh goal of the campaign. The other goals came in through Awer Mabil and leftback Konstantinos Tsimikas. Esbjerg continue their run of 5 unbeaten matches and look really dangerous to their neughbours in the table at the moment.
