Östersunds FK – Hertha BSC Berlin 1:0
The incredible success story written by Graham Potter and his team continues as Östersund beat Hertha BSC on matchday 2 of the UEFA Europa League. The only goal came from a Brwa Nouri penalty after 22 minutes. The Jämtland side now sits top of their group with two victories after two matches played. In three weeks ÖFK will host spanish side Bilbao and it’s not unlikely that they’ll continue writing history.
Rosenborg BK – Vardar Skopje 3:1
RBK needed a penalty as well to open the scoring in the duel of the two loser teams from matchday 1. Nicklas Bendtner converted and brought his team on the road to victory. Goals from Anders Konradsen and Vegar Eggen Hedenstad followed before the macedonians managed to score their first of the campaign. Juan Felipe found the back of the net in stoppage time. On matchday 3 Rosenborg have to travel to group leaders Zenit St. Petersburg.
Sheriff Tiraspol – FC Copenhagen 0:0
The third scandinavian team on european duty tonight failed to follow the victories of ÖFK and RBK. With their second 0:0 draw in a row Copenhagen at least stay in second place and will be facing bottom of the table FC Zlin from Czech Republic in three weeks.
